Sweet Grilled Pork Skewers (Nem Nuong)

These pork skewers are very good cooked on the barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 500 g Finely minced pork
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 3 cloves Garlic, finely minced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Golden caster sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons Corn flour
  • 2 tablespoons Vietnamese fish sauce

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. Cover and leave to marinade overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Soak 16 bamboo skewers in water for about 20 minutes, then form the pork mixture around them.
  4. Cook the pork skewers under a preheated grill for about 10 minutes, turning them frequently.
  5. To eat, remove the meat from the skewers wrap it up in salad leaves and dip into the sauce.
